About the Role

Deliver reliable, secure ICT workplace services that support teaching, learning and business operations.

The Manager ICT Workplace Services leads the delivery of secure, reliable and customer focused ICT workplace services across Box Hill Institute. The role oversees the Service Desk and end-user support functions, ensuring day to day ICT services are efficient and aligned with the Institute’s ICT Strategy. The position contributes to strategic and operational planning and continuous improvement, ensuring compliant, consistent and value-driven ICT services across all campuses.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Lead operational delivery of ICT Workplace Services aligned to organisational strategy and priorities
  • Oversee Service Desk and end user support functions, ensuring timely resolution, escalation and service performance
  • Manage secure endpoint configuration, patching and lifecycle management in line with cyber security and compliance standards
  • Design, implement and embed contemporary workplace systems, processes and standard operating environments supporting flexible work practices
  • Lead staff, contractors, procurement, asset management and service providers to meet performance, financial, safety and statutory requirements

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience managing ICT workplace services, including Service Desk and end-user support operations
  • Sound knowledge of ICT workplace technologies and IT service management practices
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience applying ICT service standards, processes and performance measures
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and prioritisation skills
  • Capability in quality management, continuous improvement, compliance and risk management

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or a related discipline, with IT Service Management certification(s) such as ITIL
  • Moderate experience managing ICT workplace and technology solutions, including Service Desk and end-user support, within large or complex organisations
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary workplace technologies, service management, quality, compliance and risk management, with well-developed communication and problem-solving skills
